Role Overview: The Faculty of Law is seeking to appoint a Departmental Lecturer in Constitutional Law and Administrative Law. The postholder will cover Professor Nicholas Barber during research leave and teach for the Faculty and Trinity College.
Key duties include:
- Teaching at undergraduate level: delivering lectures, seminars and tutorials on Constitutional Theory for BCL and MJur programmes.
- Organising teaching across specific syllabus areas.
- Engaging in original and independent research suitable for publication.
- Acting as a college advisor and participating in intellectual activities during term and vacation.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree and doctorate (PhD/DPhil) in Law.
- Evidence of ability to teach undergraduate and graduate students across a range of law topics via lectures, seminars or tutorials.
- Evidence of high-quality research output, including publicly available, peer-reviewed work.
- Excellent organisational, planning, time-management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Compensation & Details: Full-time fixed-term contract for 3 years. Location: Faculty of Law, St Cross Building, St Cross Road, Oxford.
