As a Project Manager at The Owl, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of projects which include the implementation of new and existing services and internal transformation projects. You’ll be responsible for creating project governance frameworks and the end-to-end coordination, mobilisation, and oversight. You’ll manage project risks, budgets, and resources effectively, whilst ensuring projects are delivered seamlessly, meeting expectations and driving commercial success.

You will be required to work on a hybrid basis from our office in Pontypool with 2 days per week in the office.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead the coordination, mobilisation, and delivery of projects, ensuring they progress seamlessly and meet agreed expectations.
  • Develop and maintain robust project governance frameworks that support clarity, accountability, and operational excellence.
  • Manage project risks proactively, identifying issues early and implementing appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer on new business implementation, ensuring new services, contracts, and commercial opportunities are transitioned smoothly into operational delivery and supported by strong governance and readiness planning.
  • Oversee project budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting, financial accountability, and commercial alignment.
  • Allocate and manage resources effectively to support timely delivery and smooth execution.
  • Drive strong communication and collaboration across teams to ensure stakeholders remain informed, aligned, and engaged.
  • Ensure all project activity contributes to commercial success and aligned organisational goals.

  • The ability to develop and maintain detailed project plans and governance structures.
  • Skilled in risk management, issue resolution and change control.
  • Financial awareness, including budget management and cost tracking.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex and technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail with consistent accuracy in documentation and report.
  • Confident decision maker who can prioritise effectively and manage competing demands.
  • Professional, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
  • Effective communicator who promotes transparency and collaboration.
  • Has the ability to remain calm under pressure and lead others through change.

We’d love it if you are someone who has:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Project Management.
  • Experience co‑ordinating end to end project delivery, ideally within a service-based or healthcare environment.
  • Experience managing risks, resources, timelines and budgets.
  • Strong experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including operations, clinical, commercial and engineering.
  • PRINCE2 qualification or working knowledge of PRINCE2 principles.
  • Membership with APM or CMI.
  • Experience working within regulated environments (e.g. NHS Digital, GDPR compliance).
