Working closely with the People Partner, you will play a key role in delivering a practical, people-focused HR service across a busy production environment. You will support managers and team members at all levels, help drive engagement, and ensure people processes run smoothly in a business where standards, pace and collaboration matter.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide day-to-day HR guidance and support to managers and team leaders across the site.
  • Support employee relations activity, including absence, conduct, performance and wellbeing matters.
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle from onboarding through to leavers, including contracts and correspondence.
  • Support maternity, paternity and family leave processes with care and consistency.
  • Lead the monthly payroll process to ensure colleagues are paid accurately and on time.
  • Use HR data and KPI reporting to identify trends, highlight issues and support informed decision‑making.
  • Act as a super‑user for the HR system, helping to improve processes and promote smarter ways of working.
  • Support site communications, engagement activity, awards, briefings and employee events.
  • Contribute to training workshops and people plan activity that supports site priorities.
  • Work collaboratively as a key member of the local people team.

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience in a generalist HR or People Advisor role.
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience working with line managers in a fast‑paced manufacturing, FMCG or similar operational environment.
  • Confident user of MS Office, particularly Excel for reporting and analysis.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust quickly.
  • Well organised, calm under pressure and able to balance multiple priorities.
  • A discreet, fair and balanced approach, with a genuine interest in supporting people to succeed.

This is an opportunity to join a business that invests in its people and values a positive, supportive working culture. You’ll be part of a team that cares about high standards, continuous improvement and creating an environment where people feel informed, respected and able to do their best work.

  • Salary sacrifice pension option.
  • Medicash, including free GP access and support with prescriptions and dental costs.
  • Take‑home fridge with free meals.
  • Enhanced family leave policies.
  • Volunteering opportunities throughout the year.
