We are looking for an experienced Site Services Engineer to join the Engineering team and play a key role in maintaining the site's essential utilities, services and infrastructure.
Role Overview
As a Site Services Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management, maintenance and optimisation of key site services and utilities, ensuring they remain safe, compliant and operating efficiently.
Working closely with the wider Engineering and Operations teams, you will take a proactive approach to maintenance, minimise downtime and ensure all site services meet relevant legislation, technical standards and environmental requirements.
This is a varied role that will also involve contractor management, general site maintenance, engineering stock control and supporting the Engineering Manager with compliance and service contracts.

Key Responsibilities
* Carry out daily checks, testing, optimisation and maintenance of
- Effluent plant in line with the site's discharge permit
- Steam raising plant
- Compressed air systems
- Water softening and distribution systems
- Refrigeration plant and associated equipment
- External site water management systems
- Identify opportunities to improve plant efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Assist with engineering stock control and inventory management.
- Carry out general building, site maintenance and repairs.
- Support the Engineering Manager with site service contract management.
- Train operators on new machinery and equipment where required.
- Participate in Health & Safety activities and complete relevant functions as required.
- Work closely with operational teams, hygiene and other departments to ensure engineering standards and food safety requirements are maintained.
- Support engineering input into trials, new product development and equipment solutions.

- Effluent plants
- Compressed air systems
- Steam raising
- Pumped water systems
- Refrigeration
- Experience managing contractors and/or service contracts.
- Working knowledge of regulations relating to pressure systems and Legionella control.
- Food Manufacturing/FMCG engineering experience.
Qualifications
- Time-served apprenticeship within an engineering environment.
