Are you a highly motivated Senior HR Advisor ready to take the next strategic step in your career? The Oval Partnership is currently supporting a fast-paced, FMCG manufacturing business to recruit an ambitious HR professional to support the leadership team. This is a unique "bridge" role. Reporting directly to the Site Director and under the guidance of the UK HR Director, the Senior HR Advisor will provide day-to-day operational support to the Site Director at the 24/7 manufacturing facility.
With structured guidance and mentorship from the HR Director, this is an ideal opportunity to develop into a full HR Manager position and a core member of the Site Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
The Role
- Strategic Growth: Work closely with the UK HR Director to develop the site’s people strategy, with a clear development plan to move into an HR Manager role.
- Leadership Support: Act as a trusted advisor to the Site Director, providing coaching on people management, performance, and site-wide communication.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee the HR lifecycle for a diverse workforce within a 24/7 operation, including employee relations, recruitment, and talent development.
- Culture & Engagement: Drive initiatives that foster a positive, high-performance culture on the shop floor and within management.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure the site remains "audit-ready," maintaining high standards in line with GMP and health and safety protocols.
Who You Are
- Experienced: You have a proven track record as an HR Advisor or Senior HR Advisor, ideally within an FMCG, manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Ambitious: You are actively looking for a role that offers a pathway to management and a seat at the leadership table.
- Confident Communicator: You are comfortable walking the shop floor and building relationships with everyone from production operators to the Site Director.
- Adaptive: You understand the complexities of a 24/7 shift-based business and can pivot quickly when priorities change.
- Qualified: CIPD Level 5 or 7 is preferred, or equivalent experience that demonstrates a deep understanding of UK employment law and best practices.

- Site based, option to WFH 1 day a week post probation
- 40 hour week
- Located on the Somerset / Dorset border, commutable from surrounding areas: Taunton, Bridgwater, Crewkerne, Chard, Yeovil, Honiton, Weymouth, Dorchester
