Are you an experienced Quality Assurance professional in the food manufacturing sector with a passion for driving continuous improvement and leading a team to success? We’ve partnered with a specialist family run food business who are experiencing phenomenal growth to find a talented Quality Assurance Lead to join their team and champion their commitment to quality and safety.
A new headcount to the team, the Quality Assurance Lead will report to the Technical Manager and supervise a team of QAs working closely with production and NPD teams to uphold the highest standards across the business.
QA Lead responsibilities include:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of QA professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Champion a quality-first mindset across the entire organisation.
- Collaborate with other departments to investigate and resolve quality issues, implementing effective preventative measures.
- Own quality control procedures, ensuring they align with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
- Manage audits and inspections, taking ownership of corrective actions and improvements.
- Oversee all testing protocols, including microbiological and chemical schedules, and ensure complete traceability.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints with a professional and timely approach.
- Assess and approve raw materials and equipment to guarantee they meet our stringent quality standards.
What We’re Looking For in the successful Quality Assurance Lead:
- Proven people leadership experience in a QA environment (food manufacturing).
- A self-motivated individual with a strong continuous improvement mindset.
- Advanced knowledge of Food Safety and risk assessment.
- A collaborative leader with excellent communication skills.
This is a Monday – Friday site-based role, 8-5 with flexibility required. Unfortunately, my client cannot offer sponsorship now or in the future, therefore applicants must hold the right to live and work indefinitely in the UK.
