We are looking for a proactive Quality Assurance Assistant to join the Technical Department in a growing food manufacturing business. This hands‐on role ensures food safety, product quality, and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) across our site.

What You'll Do:

  • Ensure GMP and company policies are followed on site.
  • Monitor production areas and support production teams.
  • Complete and verify due diligence paperwork.
  • Report and investigate non‐conformances, helping prevent reoccurrence.
  • Conduct internal GMP audits and ensure corrective actions are closed out.
  • Carry out hygiene swabs and trend analysis.
  • Complete goods intake and finished product checks.
  • Perform traceability, mass balance and recall exercises.
  • Support technical documentation, label approvals and specifications.
  • Assist with complaint investigations and sampling for micro/chemical testing.
  • Monitor PPE and cleaning material stock.

What We're Looking For:

  • Knowledge of GMP and HACCP principles.
  • Two years' experience in the food manufacturing sector is essential.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word (Mac experience a bonus).
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • A hands‐on, proactive, and responsible approach.
  • Right to work in the UK.
