We are recruiting a QA Technician to join a brewery environment, supporting quality and food safety across a busy FMCG manufacturing site. While this role sits within brewing, candidates with wider food or drinks manufacturing experience are very welcome.
This is a hands‑on laboratory role, ideal for someone with strong microbiological experience who enjoys working close to production and being part of a shift‑based operation.
The role
- Carry out microbiological and physico‑chemical testing across raw materials, in‑process and finished beer
- Record, manage and trend results using LIMS and other laboratory systems
- Issue product holds and non‑conformity reports when results fall outside specification
- Support equipment calibration, verification and routine laboratory maintenance
- Collect samples for internal and external testing, new raw materials, packaging and process changes
- Conduct sensory evaluation of water and beer
- Support yeast propagation at laboratory scale
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation and compliance within the lab
What we are looking for
- Minimum 3 years laboratory experience within FMCG manufacturing
- Strong microbiological testing experience is essential
- Experience within brewing, beverages, food or drinks manufacturing
- Familiarity with physico‑chemical analysis and lab equipment calibration
- Working knowledge of LIMS or similar laboratory management systems
- Experience supporting canning or packaging lines is highly desirable
- High attention to detail, adaptable and collaborative working style
- Must have the legal right to work in the UK without sponsorship

Rotating 3‑shift pattern: 6-2, 2-10, 10-6
