An established and growing food manufacturing business is looking to recruit an experienced Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team at a modern, highly automated production facility in Fife.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment where reliability, continuous improvement and teamwork are key.
You’ll play a vital role in ensuring production equipment operates safely and efficiently while contributing to ongoing engineering projects and site improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out reactive maintenance and fault finding to minimise production downtime.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities in line with maintenance schedules.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults across automated production equipment.
- Assist with the installation, commissioning and continuous improvement of new and existing machinery.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Work closely with production and other site departments to support operational performance.
- Accurately complete maintenance records and engineering documentation.
- Ensure all work is completed safely while maintaining high standards of Health & Safety, GMP and hygiene compliance.
- Contribute ideas and practical solutions to improve engineering processes and site performance.

Requirements
- A recognised Electrical and/or Mechanical qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
- A completed engineering apprenticeship (desirable).
- At least three years’ maintenance engineering experience within an automated manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, beverage or another fast‑paced production environment.
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault‑finding skills.
- A positive attitude with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A continuous improvement mindset and a genuine passion for engineering.
