Our client is a trailblazer in the food industry, partnering with some of the UK's biggest grocers, Tesco, Asda, Morrisons & Iceland, delivering innovative products and driving category growth. They are now searching for an exceptional Head of Retail to lead their retail account portfolio, valued at circa £60 million, and take their partnerships to new heights.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial Leadership: Take full P&L responsibility for the key retail accounts, driving sales growth and maximising profitability.
- Relationship Management: Be the go-to expert for all commercial queries, nurturing strong partnerships with retail contacts and internal teams.
- Strategic Growth: Identify and seize new business opportunities, expanding the business presence with existing and new retail and foodservice customers.
- Project Management: Oversee the critical path for all new product development (NPD) projects, collaborating closely with the NPD team to deliver innovative launches on time and within budget.
- Insight & Analysis: Provide in-depth sales analysis, accurate forecasting, and market data to inform decision-making and support winning presentations.
- Continuous Improvement: Conduct regular reviews of our retail business, analysing performance, new product success, and setting ambitious future targets.
- Operational Excellence: Manage stock levels, ensure accurate product databases, and work with technical teams to resolve any issues swiftly and effectively.
