We are recruiting multiple Process Technologists and Senior Process Technologists for a large, established food manufacturer in Greater Manchester. Working as part of an extensive NPD and Innovation function, you will help transfer new products from the development environment into full-scale manufacturing. This is a hands-on role involving factory trials, problem-solving and collaboration with NPD, Technical, Production and Engineering.
The role Depending on your level of experience, your responsibilities will include:
- Planning, organising and running factory trials
- Supporting the handover of products from concept development into process
- Translating kitchen-scale recipes into commercially viable manufacturing processes
- Identifying and resolving issues during trials and production
- Establishing processing methods, product standards and factory procedures
- Ensuring products meet quality, food-safety and customer requirements
- Communicating trial outcomes and required actions to relevant departments
- Supporting products through launch and into consistent production
- Building effective relationships across NPD, Technical, Operations and Engineering
- Maintaining accurate trial documentation and project records
This opportunity could suit:
- A Food Science or related graduate with a relevant industrial placement year
- Someone with at least six months' experience running factory trials within food manufacturing
- An Assistant or Junior Process Technologist ready to take the next step
