We are recruiting a Front Line Manager to lead a multi-skilled production team within a fast-paced FMCG food manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for an experienced Supervisor, Team Leader or Shift Manager ready to take the next step.
You will be responsible for delivering safe, efficient and high-quality production performance on shift, driving KPI achievement and embedding a strong continuous improvement culture.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, motivate and develop a production team of 10β20 people to deliver daily production plans
- Drive a safety-first culture, ensuring full compliance with H&S, food safety and hygiene standards
- Achieve shift KPIs across efficiency, waste, labour, downtime, OTIF and absenteeism
- Plan and manage labour, materials and production schedules to meet customer demand
- Conduct performance reviews, support development plans and manage people issues in line with HR policy
- Lead CI activity on shift, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste
- Ensure accurate completion of production and quality documentation and maintain audit readiness
- Support trials, new processes and equipment installations where required
- Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG production is essential
- Proven background leading or supervising teams on a production shift
- Strong understanding of health & safety, food safety and quality standards
- Confident managing performance, coaching teams and handling people matters
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, short shelf-life environment
- CI mindset with the ability to problem-solve and drive improvements
- Good IT skills including Excel, Word and Outlook
- IOSH Managing Safely desirable but not essential
