Responsibilities:
- Support trading performance & targets: Support the Buying team in achieving Sales and OTB targets by analysing best sellers and underperforming lines, presenting insights in weekly trade meetings, and driving actions to minimise risk and maximise opportunities.
- OTB planning & intake management: Maintain and manage OTB planning documents, working closely with the Buying Assistant and Buyer to proactively forecast and control intake flow to meet plans and drive sales.
- Buying support & deputising: Support and deputise for the Buyer in writing buys, including product selection, grading, and pricing to support the FPRP strategy.
- Market preparation & supplier coordination: Prepare for buying trips by updating vendor packs, confirming appointments, and liaising with Merchandising to gather all required information for vendor meetings.
- Product, site & competitor management: Continuously monitor the website to ensure products meet business and brand standards, while conducting regular competitor analysis and sharing insights with the team.
- Order & supplier administration: Manage order processes including analysing stock packages, writing, reviewing and revising orders, uploading orders, and maintaining the vendor terms directory alongside new supplier setup with the back office team.
- Product sourcing, communication & admin support: Proactively source products with the Buy Team, make recommendations on target acquisitions, communicate buy strategy through Buy Alerts (including aesthetic and financials), and handle general admin such as pricing corrections, ad hoc sales reporting, and supporting invoice and delivery queries.
Qualifications:
- Significant commercial experience within a fashion retail merchandising environment (ideally luxury, multi-brand), with an interest and enthusiasm for off-price.
- Product & trend awareness: Strong passion for product and trends, with a keen eye for identifying new opportunities.
- Commercial & market understanding: Commercially aware, with a developing understanding of the business, products, and competitive market to help drive performance.
- Analytical & Technical Skills: Highly numerate with a strong analytical mindset, excellent computer literacy, and advanced Excel skills.
- Collaboration & relationship building: A team player who builds strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support both personal and business development.
- Organisation & attention to detail: Strong organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Work ethic & adaptability: Proactive, able to work to tight deadlines, and capable of multitasking with an excellent work ethic.
