Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Mixologist to join our team at The Orwell Hotel in Felixstowe. The ideal candidate will have a passion for crafting exceptional cocktails and delivering outstanding customer service in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. You will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks, maintaining bar cleanliness, and enhancing the guest experience during evening service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of classic and contemporary cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits.
- Provide excellent customer service to all guests in a professional and friendly manner.
- Create a welcoming environment and engage with guests to offer drink recommendations and upsell premium products.
- Ensure the bar is fully stocked, organized, and compliant with hygiene and safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the bar area, including glassware, equipment, and surfaces.
- Monitor guest intoxication levels and practice responsible alcohol service in line with licensing laws.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately.
- Assist with bar inventory and stock rotation as needed.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a bartender or mixologist in a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and bar techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High standard of personal presentation and hygiene.
- Flexibility to work evening shifts, including weekends and holidays.
