We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Student Support and Wellbeing Coordinator to play a vital role in supporting the mental health, wellbeing and personal development of our learners. You will work closely with students, families, therapists and colleagues to deliver tailored support that enables each learner to thrive emotionally, socially and academically.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver 1:1 and group wellbeing sessions to support learners' mental health and resilience.
  • Develop and implement strategies and interventions to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
  • Provide effective support for students experiencing distress, anxiety or crisis situations.
  • Work collaboratively with families, therapists, staff and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach.
  • Support student recruitment and assessment processes, including transition activities.
  • Coordinate wellbeing initiatives such as group sessions, forums and enrichment activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and evaluate interventions using IT systems.
  • Contribute to staff training and development on wellbeing approaches.

Job Information

This post is classed as having a high degree of contact with vulnerable adults and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Eligibility

Only applicants who are eligible to work in the UK will be considered.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Level 2 qualification in a relevant field and GCSEs (including Maths and English).
  • Experience working with young disabled adults or in a pastoral/wellbeing role.

Desirable

  • Background in psychology, counselling or positive behaviour support.
  • Experience in a specialist education or SEND environment.
