We’re currently looking for a highly organised and people-focused HR and Recruitment Assistant to join our People Team at the Bolton Support Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the full employee lifecycle, helping to ensure an efficient, professional HR service that supports colleagues and managers across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support for recruitment, onboarding, colleague changes, and leavers
- Act as the first point of contact for People-related queries from colleagues and line managers
- Prepare offer letters, contracts, and other employment documentation
- Maintain accurate employee records in line with data protection and legal requirements
- Support the recruitment process: advertise roles, schedule interviews, manage pre-employment checks
- Assist in onboarding new starters and coordinating induction activities
- Produce HR reports and support data preparation for payroll
- Help coordinate internal communications, engagement initiatives, and training sessions
- Collaborate with the wider People Team to support a positive and inclusive culture
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of People systems and service delivery
About You
Essential:
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Professional and discreet, with the ability to handle confidential information
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Desirable:
- CIPD Level 3 qualification (or working towards)
- Experience in a HR environment
- Familiarity with HR systems and payroll processes
- Understanding of basic employment law principles
- Previous experience supporting recruitment and onboarding
