Are you an experienced carer with a desire to progress your career to the next level? Do you prefer to work nights? Our care teams make a real difference every day and your professionalism, teamed with kindness and compassion, will be at the core of everything you do. Leading a small team of carers, you'll be responsible for keeping wakeful watch on the security and safety of our residents and the home in general. You'll ensure that care plans are regularly reviewed, understand the importance of maintaining accurate records, and manage the time of both yourself and your team effectively to support the wellbeing of our residents. You'll understand that some shifts might be challenging, but you'll also laugh, have fun and make lasting memories with our residents. In joining us, you'll become part of our extended family. Goodson Lodge is situated in the historic county town of Trowbridge. This purpose-built care home has been created with our residents in mind. The home provides 24-hour specialist person-centred dementia care, residential care and respite care.

Responsibilities
- Lead a small team of carers and maintain wakeful watch on the safety and security of residents and the home.
- Ensure care plans are regularly reviewed and maintained with accurate record-keeping.
- Manage time for yourself and your team to support residents' wellbeing.
- Assist with providing care that is person-centred, compassionate and professional during night shifts.
Qualifications and requirements
- NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care is preferred; NVQ Level 2 with willingness to study for NVQ Level 3 is acceptable.
- Experience in leading a team to deliver care and a desire to progress to higher levels of responsibility.
- Willingness to undertake relevant training to support career development in a nurturing, engaging and rewarding environment.
- Positive role model with excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Supportive leadership to motivate the team to deliver high-quality care to residents at all times.
