Overview

Care Team Leader – Location: Langford View Care Home, Bicester, Oxfordshire. Pay rate: £15.55 per hour, plus NVQ and weekend working enhancements available. Contracted Hours: part time hours available. Shift Times: 06:45-14:15 and 14:00-22:15, with working alternate weekends.

Responsibilities

Support the Home Manager and lead a team of carers to plan and deliver high-quality care that provides residents with security, dignity and independence. Ensure care plans are regularly reviewed through ongoing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Manage time effectively between supporting the team and ensuring the wellbeing of residents.

You will:

  • Lead a small team of people to deliver outstanding care to residents.
  • Ensure care plans are reviewed and updated as part of the continuous assessment cycle.
  • Support team development and maintain a nurturing, engaging and rewarding environment.
  • Balance team support with resident wellbeing and safety.

About You / Qualifications

You’ll have previous experience of working in a residential care setting with an NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care, or have achieved NVQ Level 2 and be prepared to study for NVQ Level 3.

You might have supervisory experience, such as delegating tasks, supporting inductions for new starters and conducting 1-to-1s, but this is not essential. What is important is that you are a positive role model with excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others. You should be a supportive individual who can motivate others to deliver the best possible care to residents at all times, take charge confidently, and use initiative to resolve problems and handle queries.
