We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Accountant to join our team in Chester, WV. Our facility is conveniently located 30 minutes from Robinson Township, PA and 30 minutes from Boardman, OH.

The Accountant will analyze information, maintain complete and accurate records, assist with routing accounting duties and annual audits and provide prompt, courteous responses to inquires or complaints from residents, vendors and lenders, while providing efficient reliable support to accounting department team members, other departments, and external parties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Ensure accurate processing of incoming payments by check, credit card, and EFT.
  • Reconcile balance sheets and accounts.
  • Assist with the month end process
  • Prepare monthly financial statements.
  • Generate and review monthly reports.
  • Ensure accurate and timely bank deposits.
  • Assist with preparation for annual audits.
  • Prepare and distribute annual IRS forms.
  • Ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records, including ledgers, journals, receipts, and invoices.
  • Respond to ad hoc inquiries and help with extracting data to create reports.
  • Assists with audits and resolving discrepancies.
  • Speaking with vendors and suppliers to ensure charges are accurate and that payments are received in a timely manner.
  • Communicating with residents and their families to discuss account statuses, charges, or discrepancies.
  • Participating in ongoing education opportunities to learn about industry trends and developments, current financial legislation, and company policies and procedures.
  • Perform administrative and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of billing and accounts payable experience.
