We are seeking a positive, enthusiastic and motivated person with experience to assist the Administration Team dealing with reception duties within the school. Their responsibilities will include:
- Greeting pupils, parents and visitors to the school.
- Issuing and maintaining electronic badges for all staff and visitors and updating SCR
- Use of software packages relevant to the post, i.e. SIMS, My Concern
- Updating pupil information
- General administrative duties to support the Administration Team, to include reprographics, filing and assistance with CPD and recruitment packs
- Distribution and despatching of mail.
The post holder will have experience in:
- Working in a busy school office environment
- SIMS/Word/Microsoft/Outlook software packages desirable
The applicant will need to possess:
- High standards of written and spoken English
- This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for the role.

The Orchard School is a Sandwell Special School that caters for pupils with complex and profound learning difficulties. These include severe autism, complex medical conditions, physical and mobility difficulties, as well as severe development delay.
