Orchard Court is located near the centre of Brigg. The home is set around a former coaching inn which has been selectively extended in keeping with its character. This provides the homeliness that Jasmine seeks for its homes, whilst still providing modern living accommodation. The home provides personal care including dementia care for 39 residents.
Responsibilities:
- Providing the highest possible levels of care in supporting and assisting our residents in all aspects of daily living.
- Promoting residents' independence with a focus on choice, dignity and respect, alongside promoting their physical and emotional wellbeing and providing input during shift handovers.
- Leading the shift to ensure high standards are maintained and other team members feel supported.
- Completing daily medication rounds and documenting consistently without errors or any issues being picked up on the medication audits.
- Ensuring the daily charts are completed to a high standard by all team members on all shifts.
- Promoting good practice in all aspects of care and challenging poor practice from other team members.
- Ensuring one-to-ones for all care and support team members are done every two months and investigating complaints and concerns as directed by the Home Manager.
Qualifications:
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., Registered Nurse or NVQ/Diploma minimum level 3 in Health and Social Care).
- Minimum of two years' experience as a Care Assistant in a residential/nursing home setting.
- Awareness of the principles of Person‑Centred Care Planning.
- Understanding of the prevention of abuse of vulnerable adults, recognition of the signs of abuse and procedures to follow in the event of an allegation of abuse.
- Reside within 30 minutes of the Home.
