We are looking for an experienced, visionary, and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen at The Orangery, our innovative restaurant in the heart of Tottenham Court Road's vibrant culinary scene. About The Orangery

Located near Tottenham Court Road Station, The Orangery is a bold new take on urban dining. At its heart is a vertical farm, seamlessly integrated into the space and supplying ultra-fresh, pesticide-free produce for our ever-changing menu. The Orangery offers an immersive dining experience surrounded by the very produce that feeds into your menu. From breakfast through to dinner, we transform seasonal, farm-fresh ingredients into refined dishes that showcase the day's harvest. Our commitment to sustainable cuisine comes to life through our on-site vertical farming, creating a truly unique farm-to-table experience in the heart of London.

About the Role

  • Location: The Orangery at Tottenham Court Road
  • Hours: 40 hours/week plus overtime - 5 days out of 7
  • Flexibility: Must be available for shifts within opening hours:
    • Weekdays: 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM
    • Saturday: 12:00 PM - 10:00 PM
    • Sundays: Opening soon!

As Head Chef, you will take ownership of kitchen leadership and menu delivery at The Orangery, reporting into our Executive Chefs ensuring The Orangery delivers consistently exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire the kitchen team, setting the tone for creativity, discipline, and teamwork.
  • Report into the Executive Chefs, collaborating on strategy, standards, and menu development.
  • Create and deliver seasonal, produce-led menus showcasing our vertical farm.
  • Manage all aspects of kitchen operations: service, scheduling, training, development, and performance.
  • Drive menu innovation in line with our farm-to-table ethos and sustainability values.
  • Oversee stock management, ordering, and cost control with a focus on efficiency and waste reduction.
  • Uphold the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and compliance.
  • Partner with the front-of-house team to deliver seamless and memorable guest experiences.
