We're looking for a skilled, passionate, and collaborative Chef de Partie to join our team at The Orangery, our new innovative restaurant in Tottenham Court Road's vibrant culinary scene. You'll help craft exceptional seasonal dishes, working closely with produce grown in our on-site vertical farm.

Located near Tottenham Court Road Station, The Orangery is a bold new take on urban dining. At its heart is a vertical farm, seamlessly integrated into the space and supplying ultra-fresh, pesticide-free produce for our ever-changing menu. The Orangery offers an immersive dining experience surrounded by the very produce that feeds into your menu. From breakfast through to dinner, we transform seasonal, farm-fresh ingredients into refined dishes that showcase the day's harvest. Our commitment to sustainable cuisine comes to life through our on-site vertical farming, creating a truly unique farm-to-table experience in the heart of London.
About the Role
- Location: The Orangery at Tottenham Court Road
- Hours: 40 hours/week - 5 days out of 7
- Flexibility: Must be available for shifts within opening hours:
- Weekdays: 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM
- Saturday: 12:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Sundays: Opening soon!
As Sous Chef, you'll work closely with our Head Chef to lead the kitchen team, maintain the highest standards, and ensure that every dish leaving the pass is of exceptional quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen management and service
- Lead, inspire, and develop the kitchen brigade, setting high standards in execution and presentation
- Take ownership of kitchen operations in the Head Chef's absence
- Drive menu development and innovation in line with our farm-to-table ethos
- Champion the use of ultra-fresh, sustainably grown ingredients from our vertical farm
- Maintain rigorous standards of cleanliness, food safety, and kitchen hygiene
- Control stock levels, ordering, and waste reduction to optimise efficiency
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to deliver seamless and memorable dining experiences
