Optimal Maintenance Ltd is looking for an experienced Fire Door Carpenter / Maintenance Engineer to join our growing Maintenance Division across London.

Role

  • Fire door installations
  • Fire door remedial works
  • Adjustments and easing
  • Replacing intumescent strips and smoke seals
  • Door closers and ironmongery upgrades
  • Fire stopping works
  • General carpentry maintenance
  • Property repair works across residential and commercial properties

You will also:

  • Identify non‑compliant fire doors and advise on remedial solutions
  • Complete works in line with fire safety regulations
  • Liaise professionally with clients and tenants
  • Maintain accurate job records and photographs via smartphone

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years carpentry experience
  • Proven fire door experience
  • Good understanding of fire door compliance and regulations
  • Experience with fire door remedial works and installations
  • Ability to work independently and problem-solve on site
  • Strong communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • DBS Certificate/check
  • Smartphone literate
