About the Opportunity
WesTrac Tamworth is seeking experienced Field Service Plant Mechanics, Heavy Diesel Mechanics, and Auto Electricians to join our skilled service team. Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, you’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of CAT machinery, delivering high-quality workmanship while minimising equipment downtime. This field-based role offers exposure to diverse equipment and the opportunity to build a rewarding career with a leading Caterpillar dealer.
Multiple roster available: 8x6, 4x3 & 7/7. Rotating day and night shifts - 12.5-Hours Shift Times: Day Shift 06:00AM to 18:30PM / Night Shift 18:00PM to 06:30AM. Potential earnings over $200k + Super. Field Service Ute + Accommodation. Rates above are a guide only, and each candidate will be assessed based on competencies and experience.
Skills & Experience
- Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent
- Certificate III in Automotive Technology or equivalent
- Australian Recognised Certificate of Proficiency (COP) & Transcripts (Mandatory)
- Familiar with Caterpillar Equipment
- OEM Experience (highly desirable)
- Exposure to SIS or ET (highly desirable)
- Excellent diagnostic and repair skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously in the field and in a team
- Current driver's licence
