The opportunity

As a Training and Competence Supervisor, you will deliver the 2plan T&C scheme across the company and ensure that the T&C processes are working as expected by the scheme.

The role holder is responsible for the Supervision of Appointed Representatives Firms, Self Employed and Employed advisers as well as Regulated Individuals. Financial Advisers within 2plan to ensure competence is both achieved and maintained via various mechanisms and a range of feedback and coaching activities. This will include one to ones, roleplays and testing as well as supporting Advisers with a range of queries they may have.

This role is predominantly desk-based with the majority of supervision delivered remotely to advisers and firms across the UK.

Occasional field-based supervision work will be required.

  • Key accountabilities:

  • Supervising Advisers through the initial and ongoing stages of T&C scheme, via coaching, meetings and evaluation of KPI’s
  • Demonstrating and applying understanding of internal Business Standards
  • Completion of one to ones as required, and the ability to analyse KPI data provided for one to ones
  • Completion of annual role-plays
  • Ensuring Adviser records are kept up to date
  • Facilitating Adviser Induction Courses
  • Attendance and Contribution with 2plan field-based regional meetings and other 2plan events such as conference
  • Providing ongoing support to Advisers via telephone and email
  • Supervision of Trainee Advisers, which will include client contact and field- based work
  • Other compliance work as the business dictates, i.e. procedures, AML, Staff training and Adviser training.
  • Answering queries such as financial planning, technical, product and T&C related queries
  • Proactively identifying trends and feeding continuous improvement
  • Identifying and building relationships with key contacts (both internally and externally) and providing advice and guidance as required
  • What will you need to succeed?

    Qualifications/ Experience :

  • Ideally at least 3 years’ experience within a financial services organisation in a previous T&C role and Level 4 diploma qualified. Working towards higher level industry qualifications such as Chartered is advantageous and support will be provided for further study.
  • Desirable – Holds supervisory qualification H15 or J07
  • Would be expected to pass the relevant 2plan mandatory testing including data protection, Financial crime.
