The Technical Project Manager is accountable for overseeing the successful execution of complex technology initiatives within the Enterprise IT & Data program. Acting as a vital link between technical experts and business stakeholders, this role ensures that project solutions are implemented effectively, risks are proactively managed, and tangible business value is achieved. Success in this position requires the ability to cultivate strong professional relationships, rapidly grasp diverse technical concepts, and clearly articulate their implications to audiences without a technical background.
Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and deliver multiple technology projects to agreed scope, time, and budget.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders across IT, data, and business functions.
- Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Translate technical concepts into clear, business-friendly language.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to drive alignment and decision-making.
- Ability to understand complex technical topics and their interdependencies.
- Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Influence and negotiate to ensure project objectives are met.
- Communicate project status, risks, and decisions clearly and proactively.
- Ensure all project documentation is up to date and compliant with internal standards.

Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience managing complex technical projects in enterprise environments.
- Experience in IT, data, or digital transformation programmes.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, data integration, and enterprise IT systems.
- Project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Knowledge of software development lifecycles and delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Understanding of change management principles within technology environments.
- Excellent vendor and stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Conflict resolution skills to manage competing priorities.
- Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous or high-pressure environment.

Contract & Location
This is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract, hybrid role, based in our Swindon office, with the requirement to be in the office 3 days a week.

- Salary - £65,000
- Bonus scheme - on target bonus 10%
