As the Senior Sourcing Manager, you will be an integral part of the Strategic Sourcing team working closely with Legal, Risk, Technology and Compliance teams to deliver optimal commercial outcomes whilst ensuring regulatory adherence, operational resilience and supplier management. You will act as the key contact and subject matter expert for the management of all contract-related and tender activities, including negotiating contract terms, conditions, modifications, incentives, and remedies, while working with key stakeholders to ensure that their requirements are met. This position is based in Swindon with 3 days a week required in the office.
Responsibilities
- Working with the Head of Strategic Sourcing in developing and managing relationships with strategic suppliers.
- Building, maintaining, and enhancing positive commercial, professional, and collaborative relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Providing leadership and guidance to ensure that best practices in supplier management are understood and followed by business stakeholders.
- Supporting and implementing contract management processes, tools, and reporting to ensure that Openwork supplier contracts are well-managed, achieve best value for money, comply with regulatory responsibilities, and align with industry best practices.
- Developing, operating, and continuously improving governance process frameworks for interactions and integrations with various suppliers.
- Acting as the point of accountability for escalation and arbitration of relationship issues and addressing both commercial and operational problems if other avenues of supplier management fail.
- Collaborating with the Contracts Manager to monitor the performance of agreements and overall relationships with suppliers.
- Developing, maintaining, and continuously improving internal reporting on supplier performance.
- Ensuring that the organisation achieves its objectives with suppliers and assisting suppliers in achieving their reasonable business objectives to make Openwork a “customer of choice”.
What you will need to succeed
- Extensive experience in a procurement/sourcing environment and experience in managing complex contracts and relationships.
- Proficient in drafting, negotiating, and renegotiating contracts, schedules, and statements of work.
- Skilled in managing tender processes, including market research, creating RFPs, scoring and selection criteria, and guiding all stakeholders (including senior management) to a consensus selection decision.
- Experienced in Service Level Management and reporting.
- Familiar with working in a regulated environment.
- Proven Experience of IT/Technology Procurement; system, software, hardware, SaaS and Outsource arrangements in a UK Financial Services regulated market.
- Ideally, you’ll have at least one of the following Technical Qualifications: MCIPS and BCS Certificate in Supplier Management.
