The Technical Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, coordinating global sales and marketing activities, and ensuring the orderbook aligns with or exceeds budgeted goals. This role requires a combination of technical knowledge and sales expertise, with a strong focus on client relationships and market development.

Key Responsibilities:Sales & Order Management:

  • Drive customer-focused activities to increase order intake in line with agreed budgets.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to meet business objectives.

  • Analyse market trends and customer needs to identify new growth opportunities.

  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.

  • Organise and attend exhibitions, conferences, and product demonstrations.

  • Ensure timely completion of export licensing and regulatory requirements.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders.

  • Address escalated customer issues promptly and professionally.

  • Promote company products to ensure high customer satisfaction.

  • Provide timely, high-quality responses to customer and distributor inquiries.

Team Leadership:

  • Manage, mentor, and develop the sales team to ensure high performance.

  • Set clear performance goals and provide regular feedback.

  • Foster a positive work environment aligned with company values and HR policies.

  • Contribute to team meetings and maintain effective communication across departments.

Revenue & Profit Growth:

  • Monitor and achieve sales, margin, and profitability targets.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, key accounts, and partnerships.

  • Contribute to the research and identification of new market opportunities.

  • Assess gaps for potential new products or applications.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with production, supply chain, and marketing to optimise customer delivery.

  • Provide valuable customer insights to inform product development.

  • Work with internal teams to finalise customer specifications.

  • Contribute to achieving company objectives and KPIs by participating in management meetings.

  • Coordinate with other internal functions (e.g., Operations, QA, Finance, R&D) to ensure successful product delivery.

Reporting & Analytics:

  • Prepare detailed sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports for senior leadership.

  • Use data analytics to track sales performance and inform decision-making.

  • Contribute to proposals, technical documentation, and product specifications.

  • Relevant technical degree or proven experience in a similar technical sales role.

  • Experience in managing customer relationships and driving sales growth.

  • Familiarity with export regulations is a plus, but not essential.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, and production.

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in sales forecasting and reporting
