I'm looking for a highly organised and detail-focused Engineering Storesperson to join an FMCG manufacturing site on a 4-month fixed term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with an engineering or maintenance background who enjoys bringing order, structure and accuracy to an engineering stores environment.
The Role: You’ll take ownership of getting the engineering stores organised, catalogued and ready for the future, ensuring the engineering team can quickly and easily find the parts and spares they need. Your responsibilities will include:
- Organising and categorising engineering spares and stock
- Creating and maintaining accurate Excel spreadsheets
- Identifying and cataloguing mechanical and electrical components
- Reviewing existing stock and improving organisation
- Ensuring parts are clearly labelled and easy to locate
- Creating a structured stores system that the engineering team can maintain going forward
About You:
- Has an engineering/maintenance background or strong knowledge of engineering components
- Is highly proficient in Excel
- Has excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Is methodical, thorough and well organised
- Can work independently and take ownership of a project
- Ideally has experience within FMCG, manufacturing or a similar engineering environment
