The ONE Group are delighted to be partnering with a growing, ambitious business in Peterborough to recruit an experienced and driven Management Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation in a broad and hands-on role, working closely alongside a highly supportive Finance Controller and playing a key part in the day-to-day running of the finance function.
The Role
- Leading and supporting a team of three within the finance function
- Producing accurate and timely financial information, alongside meaningful analysis to support business decision-making
- Delivering weekly reporting across operational divisions
- Supporting with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
- Assisting in the production of reports for the Board and Senior Leadership Team
- Supporting month-end processes, including postings into Sage 200 and production of management accounts
- Enhancing and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations
- Working closely with the Finance Manager to identify and implement process improvements
- Supporting with additional finance projects and ad hoc tasks as the business continues to grow
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need to be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or a finalist nearing completion of your studies. The business is looking for someone who is proactive, solutions-focused and enjoys operating in a fast-paced environment. You will ideally have previous experience producing management accounts, strong attention to detail and the confidence to communicate effectively across the wider business. Previous experience managing or mentoring junior staff would also be highly advantageous.
