IT Systems Engineer (Windows and Linux) Cambridge £50k-£60k We’ve partnered with one of Cambridge’s software houses to find a talented IT Systems Engineer. All candidates must be within a 45-minute commute of Cambridge. Unfortunately, this is not an entry level position, and all candidates must have their own full right to work and remain in the UK without any restrictions. You’ll take the reins on: Supporting and optimising a mixed Windows and Linux Server environment. Maintaining and improving network systems. Leading IT projects – think upgrades, migrations, implementations, and installations. Overseeing backup and disaster recovery systems. Acting as a senior escalation point for technical issues. We need a self-starter with the following skills and experience: Strong expertise in both Windows and Linux/Unix systems administration. Proficiency in Windows tools and technologies like Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, Hyper-V, and SCCM. Solid networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
