Finance Manager
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a long-established Cambridge based organisation in a newly created role as Finance Manager.

Reporting into the Director of Operations and Finance Director, the Finance Manager will play a key role in ensuring the efficient day to day running of the finance function. You will support the growth of the company by implementing and ensuring compliance with appropriate controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the month-end process ensuring all tasks are completed, including accruals, prepayments and deferred revenue, to ensure month end reporting is finalised. The reporting includes management accounts and a group reporting package Monthly Balance Sheet controls and reconciliations.
- Monitoring, controlling, and forecasting cash flow.
- Overview of the purchase ledger and group-wide payment runs.
- Ensuring compliance with controls and assisting with control implementation.
- Cost and expenditure analysis.
- Supporting the annual statutory accounts and Tax Return processes.
- Supporting the annual budgeting process.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
- Responsibility for monthly VAT reporting.
- Foreign currency and FX payment experience.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions, including pricing, margin analysis, and capital investment.
- Manage and develop a small finance team, ensuring accurate and timely financial operations.
- Developing strong relationships with the SLT, as well as the Operations, Logistics and Sales teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent attainment related to accountancy is essential.
- Using MS Office applications, with advanced experience in using Excel.
- Proficient in accounting software, ideally Xero.
- Minimum of 5 years\’ experience in a finance role, preferably within an SME or similar hands-on environment.
- Experience in working for logistics, distribution, or manufacturing sectors would be ideal.
