This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring Finance Business Partner, where you\’ll gain hands-on experience, grow your technical skills, and play a key role in supporting budget holders to make effective financial decisions.
You will work closely with senior finance colleagues and operational leaders, supporting on:
- Preparing and monitoring budgets, forecasts and monthly management accounts
- Providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making
- Supporting budget holders to understand and manage their financial responsibilities
- Contributing to financial reporting, compliance and audit preparation
- Assisting with the development of systems, processes and controls
- Working on projects and ad hoc initiatives with scope to broaden your exposure
This role will involve regular travel across multiple sites in West Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and West Suffolk, therefore you must have your own transport and be happy to work from multiple sites, with your main office location being Ely.
This is a genuine progression opportunity and the ideal stepping stone towards becoming a Finance Business Partner.
We\’re looking for someone with:
- Previous experience as a Finance/Accounts Assistant
- AAT qualified and/or CIMA/ACCA studier
- Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills – able to explain financial information clearly
- Confidence in using Excel and finance systems
- Good with process and good attention to detail
- An inquisitive and analytical mindset – able to look behind the figures
