I am working with one of our Capital's most prestigious Educational establishments in their search for a Commercial Officer to join their team.
- City based - currently in South Kensington, although moving to White City in May
- Hybrid working with 2 days (including Friday in the office)

The Purpose of the Role
The Commercial Support team handles around 350 IT contracts with an overall Total Contract Value of circa £50m. As the business continues to evolve, existing contracts need to be retired or revised to ensure they continue to deliver value for money, whilst the most advantageous terms need to be secured with suppliers of new technologies and services. Many new technologies and services are emerging, and therefore keeping up to date with industry trends is a key element of the role. The Commercial team manages and performs commercial life-cycle management of all department procured hardware, software, and services arrangements, and related commercial agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assists commercial life-cycle activity, including procurement, supplier on-boarding and off-boarding, ongoing commercial governance, contract change, renewals and exits, supporting specific change activity and projects.
- Provides advice on the management of contractual and commercial matters to business stakeholders.
- Builds and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Takes actions, as agreed, to manage contractual risks and issues.
- Manages and updates the contracts database.
- Assists the Commercial team with raising Purchase Orders and ensuring invoices are paid on time.
