Are you an RF Engineer looking to develop your experience across the full product lifecycle?
This is an opportunity to join a leading technology company developing innovative, high-tech products used in demanding, real-world environments.
You will work alongside experienced engineers, contributing to new product development, product improvement and the resolution of technical challenges at both component and system level.
What you will be doing
- Supporting the design and development of RF circuits and systems
- Evaluating and selecting electronic components
- Contributing to designs down to discrete component level
- Integrating RF designs with digital, audio and user-interface subsystems
- Completing circuit simulation, testing and design validation
- Investigating product failures and carrying out root cause analysis
- Recommending and implementing design changes to resolve faults
- Creating schematics and supporting PCB layout activity
- Producing test specifications, reports and technical documentation
- Supporting existing products through component changes and obsolescence
You will have practical experience within RF engineering and enjoy working hands‑on with complex electronic products.
You should be comfortable testing designs, investigating technical issues and presenting possible solutions, with support available from senior engineers where required.

- A degree in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications or a related subject
- Experience of RF product development, integration, simulation or testing
- Practical RF design experience and strong engineering intuition
- Experience in at least two of the following: RF transmitter and receiver architectures, RF receivers and transmitters, RF power amplifiers, Frequency generation or VCO design, Matching networks, EMC and EMI
- Experience using RF simulation or modelling tools such as ADS, CST or equivalent
- Familiarity with RF test equipment and controlled test environments
- Practical PCB skills, including component-level rework and modifications
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills
Hands‑on experience within at least one of the following technology areas would be particularly relevant:
- TETRA or PMR between 100 MHz and 900 MHz
- GSM across 800 MHz, 900 MHz or 1800 MHz
- LTE, 4G or 5G below 6 GHz
- Experience of discrete RF design, GNSS, Wi‑Fi, NFC, MIMO or 5G validation testing would also be beneficial.
This is an on‑site position based near Cambridge.
Some UK and overseas travel may be required, so you will need a full driving licence, access to a vehicle and the ability to travel when needed.
