The One Group are recruiting for a commercially minded Finance Analyst to join an already established & growing team on a full time, permanent basis. This role would see you working for a PE backed business in central Cambridge. You will be reporting into the Group Commercial Finance Manager and presenting to senior stakeholders within the business.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm (can be flex on start & finish times)
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain and interpret commercial performance data, delivering regular reporting and insights that support key strategic business decisions.
- Utilise a range of analytical tools including Excel (VBA), Power BI, Minitab, or equivalent platforms.
- Work closely with the Group Commercial Finance Manager to support the annual budgeting cycle and target-setting activities across the business.
- Generate detailed analysis and reporting to aid decision‑making around resource allocation, planning, and performance targets.
- Assist with return‑on‑investment assessments for projects, marketing initiatives and lead generation activities, providing recommendations to influence future business strategy.
- Contribute to the annual pricing review process and provide commercial support for new business opportunities and proposals where required.
- Transform complex datasets into meaningful insights through the creation of forecasting models, dashboards and performance reports, presenting findings in a clear and engaging way for stakeholders.
- Own and continually enhance the weekly business summary report, ensuring it evolves to reflect changing priorities, partnerships and commercial developments.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a commercially focused finance analyst role
- Degree level qualified, or AAT equivalent
- Confident communicator, problem solving skills, and analytical mindset
- Advanced Excel skills
