I'm seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to provide temporary cover for my client in Cambridge to cover a period of long-term sickness absence. This is a full-time position with hybrid working available (3 days in office/2 days WFH). The role is expected to last a minimum of 2 months, with the possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage the finance inbox
- Code and process invoices
- Prepare and post various journals (including identifying items to be journalled)
- Raise Accounts Receivable (AR) invoices
- Update project spend reports
- Prepare management accounts reports and other financial reports
Key requirements:
- Experience working with Oracle
- Strong understanding of journals, including debits and credits
- Background in processing and transactional finance work, beyond just AP/AR
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- A team player with a flexible approach, happy to support wherever needed
