I'm seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to provide temporary cover for my client in Cambridge to cover a period of long-term sickness absence. This is a full-time position with hybrid working available (3 days in office/2 days WFH). The role is expected to last a minimum of 2 months, with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage the finance inbox
  • Code and process invoices
  • Prepare and post various journals (including identifying items to be journalled)
  • Raise Accounts Receivable (AR) invoices
  • Update project spend reports
  • Prepare management accounts reports and other financial reports

Key requirements:

  • Experience working with Oracle
  • Strong understanding of journals, including debits and credits
  • Background in processing and transactional finance work, beyond just AP/AR
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • A team player with a flexible approach, happy to support wherever needed
