The ONE Group are delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded national accountancy practice, known for its strong local presence and people-first approach, in their search for an Audit Assistant Manager to join their growing Peterborough Office.

You’ll be joining a collaborative audit team that partners with a broad portfolio of clients, from ambitious owner-managed businesses to established national organisations. This isn’t a place where you’ll get lost in the hierarchy; it’s a supportive environment where your input is valued and your work has real impact.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading audits from planning through to completion, ensuring high-quality delivery every time.
- Managing your own client portfolio, building strong and lasting relationships.
- Reviewing work prepared by seniors and juniors, offering constructive feedback and mentoring where needed.
- Preparing budgets, managing workloads, and ensuring key deadlines are met.
- Supporting clients with broader advisory needs and identifying opportunities to add value.
- Staying up to date with accounting standards (FRS 102, SORP, etc.) and ensuring best practice across your audits.
What you’ll bring:
- ACA or ACCA qualification with solid post-qualification audit experience.
- Strong technical knowledge and a sound understanding of risk-based auditing.
- Confidence in managing teams and reviewing work effectively.
- Excellent communication and client-handling skills, you’re approachable, proactive, and commercially aware.
- Organised, detail-focused, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines.
