A lovely opportunity has been created to join a small finance team in Potters Bar for an Assistant Accountant. This role would suit someone who is local as the position is office based, it comes with onsite parking and a generous salary.The position is to support the Financial Controller and also the transactional finance team below. If you are someone that enjoys VAT returns, liaising with HMRC and has an excellent experience of debits and credits. Ideally CIS and payroll (this is desirable) and you are happy with a nice steady role then this could be for you.This job is to support the Financial Controller with monthly management accounts, prepare and submit the quarterly VAT returns, liaise with HMRC, cover and support when the Payroller is away, prepare and submit the CIS returns, balance sheet reconciliations, posting, journals and being the bridge between the ledger clerks to the FC.Office based, the hours are 8am – 5pm, onsite parking, 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays and pension.
