Job Description

Job Title: System Architect

📍 Location: Cambridge

Salary: £150,000 – £200,000

We’re looking for a SoC System Architect to push the boundaries of performance and power efficiency

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of innovation, solving complex technical challenges and driving architectural breakthroughs that define the future of handheld and compute platforms.

What you’ll do

  • Collaborate with engineering leaders and product planning teams to shape project roadmaps.
  • Translate requirements into robust platform architectures spanning hardware, software, and tools.
  • Evaluate architecture proposals and IP features, aligning teams to a shared technical vision.
  • Represent the team with technical credibility in customer and partner engagements.
  • Design experiments and analyses, developing or driving new simulators, models, and tools to inform architectural decisions.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven track record in smartphone/tablet SoC architecture or related experience.
  • Strong technical expertise and credibility across hardware and software domains.
  • Experience in one or more of: power/thermal management, reset & boot, advanced packaging
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity, influence across organizations, and lead from the front.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in EE/ECE/CE/CS (MS/PhD strongly preferred).
