Salary up to £60,000 depending on experience

As a Functional Integration Lead Engineer, you’ll support the Head of Functional Integration in delivering compatibility and software integration activities across complex missile and weapon systems. This is a hands-on, practical role where you’ll be planning and conducting integration and compatibility proving activities, developing a deep understanding of how systems and subsystems interact in real operational configurations. You’ll work closely with project customers and stakeholders to achieve key design verification milestones and contribute to qualification campaigns.
- Planning and delivering proving tests aligned to programme maturity milestones
- Integrating multiple missile and launcher variants in trials and operational configurations
- Supporting defect investigations and data analysis
- You’ll also contribute to developing best practice across integration and proving activities, helping strengthen overall capability while building your own technical leadership skills.
Degree qualified in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or similar
- Strong understanding of hardware and software integration and test activities
- Experience using commercial lab test equipment
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and methods
- Experience or interest in scripting, such as Python
- Adaptability and the confidence to work in a fast-paced engineering environment
