The One Group are pleased to be supporting an established precision engineering manufacturer who is seeking a Production Engineer to support their technical operations and CNC machining function. You’ll join a fast-paced environment producing complex, tight-tolerance components and play a key role in improving machining performance across the business.

You’ll act as the link between design, engineering, and the CNC workshop focusing on CNC programming, tooling, machining strategies and problem-solving to keep production running efficiently and to drawing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce CNC programs using modern CAD/CAM software and develop efficient machining strategies.
  • Select suitable cutting tools and work-holding methods to optimise material removal and cycle times.
  • Design and model internal fixtures to support the machining process.
  • Support DFM, troubleshoot machining issues and apply corrective actions to ensure components meet specification.
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Strong background as a CNC Machinist within a precision engineering environment.
  • Proficient with CAD/CAM software (Hypermill experience beneficial but not essential).
  • Solid understanding of technical drawings and GD&T.
  • Proven problem-solving ability within a machining/manufacturing setting.
