Role: Payroll & HR Assistant (Part-Time)
Location: Northampton (Head Office)
Working Model: Part-time, 30 hours per week, with some flexibility on hours
The ONE Group is exclusively partnering with a reputable and leading manufacturing business in recruiting a Payroll & HR Assistant. This is a great opportunity for someone with payroll and HR administration experience who is looking to develop their skills within a supportive Payroll and generalist HR team. The role has a strong payroll focus, while also offering exposure across a broad range of HR activities. You will play a key part in ensuring employees and managers receive an accurate, timely and professional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce the monthly UK payroll accurately and on time, including starters, leavers, changes, overtime and adjustments
- Liaise with the external payroll provider and internal finance team on reconciliations and statutory reporting
- Ensure payroll reports, payslips and documents such as P45s and P60s are issued correctly and within deadlines
- Collate payroll data from across the business in line with strict monthly cut-offs
- Maintain accurate employee records, both electronic and paper-based, ensuring confidentiality at all times
- Support onboarding processes, including contracts, offers, paperwork and coordination with hiring managers
- Manage probation review diaries and support managers with the process
- Update HR, payroll and time and attendance systems to ensure data accuracy
- Administer absence management processes, escalating issues where required
- Maintain training records and support the coordination of training activity
- Respond to reference requests and support general HR administration tasks
Skills & Experience Required
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English
- Experience working with payroll systems
- Previous payroll and HR administration experience in an office environment
