Salary: £60-65,000 + Bonus

We’re working with a well-established, growing business to recruit a Finance Manager with a strong financial accounting and control background. This role will take ownership of statutory reporting, balance sheet integrity and compliance, while supporting the wider business with robust, accurate financial information.

As Finance Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity and compliance of the company’s financial records, with particular focus on financial control, VAT and reconciliations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ownership of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting
  • Preparation and review of statutory accounts and coordination of the year-end audit
  • Full responsibility for balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are reviewed, supported and cleared on a timely basis
  • Review and approval of month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments and fixed assets
  • Preparation, review and submission of VAT returns, ensuring compliance with UK VAT regulations
  • Managing VAT reconciliations and supporting VAT queries, audits or inspections
  • Oversight of cashflow reporting and support for treasury and banking activities
  • Maintaining and strengthening financial controls, processes and documentation

About You

  • ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualification
  • Proven experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Accounting Manager or similar role
  • Strong background in statutory reporting, audit, VAT and balance sheet control
  • Excellent attention to detail and a structured, methodical approach
  • Experience improving reconciliations, controls and month-end processes
