An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Estimating Engineer to join a well-established precision engineering business. The role offers the chance to contribute to high-value projects across aerospace, defence, medical, and other advanced manufacturing sectors, providing accurate costings and supporting efficient, cost-effective production.

You’ll be working closely with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing teams to prepare cost estimates, bids, and BOMs. This is a varied and challenging role, ideal for someone with strong mechanical engineering knowledge and experience in the CNC precision engineering sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations for customers.
  • Compile bids and assist in agreeing contracts.
  • Create routings and BOMs within ERP systems.
  • Interpret technical drawings to define subcontracting needs and in-house processes.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in cost estimating and BOM/routing creation within precision engineering (CNC).
  • 5+ years in technical positions in the precision engineering industry.
  • Mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes.
