The Accountancy & Finance Division is exclusively partnering with a reputable and established company in the education sector in recruiting an experienced Finance Business Partner. Working as part of a central finance function, this role offers the opportunity to partner closely with senior leaders across multiple sites, providing meaningful financial insight that supports better decision-making and long-term sustainability. You will play a key role in translating financial data into clear, actionable guidance while helping to drive efficiency and value.
Key Responsibilities
- Support senior leaders with budget setting, monitoring and management.
- Produce forecasts and scenario modelling to inform strategic decisions.
- Deliver monthly management accounts with clear variance analysis and commentary.
- Provide clear, non-technical financial insight to stakeholders.
- Analyse financial performance, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Support procurement processes to ensure compliance and value for money.
- Oversee financial aspects of contracts, tenders and high-value spend.
- Contribute to cost-saving initiatives through centralisation and efficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, controls and regulatory requirements.
- Support capital projects including planning, monitoring and reporting.
- Assist with business cases and funding applications.
- Promote consistent use of financial systems and processes.
- Build strong working relationships with operational and leadership teams.
- Collaborate with HR and operational teams on workforce and budget planning.
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience in budget management, forecasting and financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of financial controls, analysis and management accounting.
- Ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience working in a customer-focused or stakeholder-driven environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent numeracy and analytical ability.
- Highly organised with the ability to meet deadlines independently.
- Good IT and systems skills.
