Desktop Build & Deployment Engineer
Peterborough (2 days onsite, 3 remote)
The Role
We’re looking for a Desktop Build & Deployment Engineer to join the Workspace & Infrastructure team on an initial contract basis. You’ll play a key role in keeping the desktop estate secure, modern, and reliable, from patching and vulnerability management through to imaging, packaging, and rolling out Windows and Mac builds.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll be the go-to person for SCCM, Intune/Autopilot and Jamf, working closely with our Infosec team to keep our environment safe and up to date.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Building, testing and maintaining Windows 11 and MacOS images
- Administering and deploying via SCCM, Intune, Autopilot, and Jamf
- Managing patching and vulnerabilities across the desktop estate, working to SLA targets
- Supporting BAU incidents and requests related to OS images, applications, and security tools
- Partnering with Infosec to stay on top of workspace vulnerabilities
- Supporting hardware requests and asset management
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 builds and SCCM
- Experience with Intune/Autopilot deployments
- Patch management and vulnerability remediation skills
- Software/Application packaging experience
- Able to commit to working in the Peterborough office a minimum of 2 days per week
This is initially on a contract basis until February 2026; however there is potential for this to be extended. We are ideally looking for someone to start in the next 2 weeks.
