Cyber Security Officer Cambridge (Hybrid working) £35k-£40k We’ve partnered with an organisation who is looking to build out their IT Security Function. You will be one of the first Cyber focused hires within the business, so this is a real chance to build something from scratch and shape the cyber function within the business – there’s not many roles like this that come on the market, so if you have a couple of years Cyber Security experience, then read on! Please may particular notice to the requirements section, as this is fairly specific. With a comprehensive benefits package including 25 days leave, private medical cover, company bonus, training courses and gym membership, this is one not to be missed! Please note – this is not an entry level role, and we need all candidates to have a minimum of 2 years Cyber Security experience as a minimum. All candidates must be within a commutable distance of Cambridge and have their own right to work and remain in the UK, without any restrictions. Please review the requirements section carefully. The Role: Development and maintenance of cyber security procedures and strategies Cyber incident detection, response and mitigation Work towards obtaining Cyber Essentials+ and ISO27001 Lead on several Cyber Security projects Provide training on best practices Requirements: Ideally, we are looking for someone who has transitioned from a more general IT Support or infrastructure position into Cyber Security and has a minimum of 2 years Cyber experience Must have experience implementing security policies and/or processes Has been involved in Cyber/IT Security projects Experience detecting, logging and dealing with cyber incidents Knowledge around Microsoft Defender and Sentinel Knowledge around CyberEssentials+ and/or ISO27001 Excellent written and verbal communication skills Within an hour of Cambridge Full right to work and remain in the UK without any restrictions Please ensure the above requirements are clearly demonstrated on your CV. In this role you will be supported by the wider IT function who are currently working alongside an MSP to ensure the business is secure, however due to the business growing, the need for an individual to be dedicated to Cyber Security has arisen. With many internal success stories of people growing and progressing within the business, there is no reason why this role can’t move forward into being a security manager at some point in the future.
